The 20th World Religions Conference (WRC) was successfully held at the Garry Oak Gymnasium on Sunday, February 1, 2026. The conference brought together representatives from eight world religions, each sharing their faith perspectives on the theme “Building Bridges.”
The event was moderated by Adam Olsen, Past Interim Leader of the Green Party of British Columbia and a member of the Tsartlip First Nation. The conference opened with Indigenous prayers presented by Mr. Payron Siah of the Tsawout First Nation, followed by introductory remarks by Respected Amir Sahib.
Maulana Farhan Iqbal Sahib presented the perspective of Islam Ahmadiyyat with great clarity and elegance, which was well received by attendees.

- Ms. Amna Shah, Parliamentary Secretary, representing the Premier of British Columbia
The conference attracted 271 in-person attendees and over 300 virtual participants via YouTube, bringing the total attendance to 571. Participants included faith leaders, academics, students, and members of the local community, reflecting a strong interest in interfaith dialogue and collaboration.
The event successfully fostered understanding, mutual respect, and meaningful connections among diverse faith communities.
