Alhamdulillah, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at presented the teachings of Islam Ahmadiyyat at the Cambridge Multicultural Festival, held on Saturday, 25 July 2026 at Forbes Park in Hespeler, Cambridge.
The festival was organised by the Cambridge Cultural Association, which works to bring the city’s artistic and cultural traditions together through exhibitions, performances and educational programmes. Since the first event in 2019, the festival has grown into an annual gathering that draws more than 5,000 people. This year’s event, the fifth, ran from 12 noon to 7 pm and featured cultural performances, international cuisine, community organisations and local vendors.
The Jama’at booth
Building on the experience gained at the Waterloo BookFest and the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival, the Cambridge Jama’at took responsibility for organising the exhibit. Two adjoining booths, each ten feet square, gave room for a full display: copies of the Holy Qur’an, Jama’at literature on Islam and Ahmadiyyat, booklets, flyers and educational banners, which drew visitors steadily through the afternoon.
Respected missionaries Aneeq Ahmad Sahib and Mubashir Badar Sahib were present throughout the day, and several conversations with visitors ran at length. Nabeel Ahmad Rana, Secretary Isha’at of the Kitchener Jama’at, and Muhammad Saad Sultan Sahib, Qa’id Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Cambridge, assisted with outreach alongside several other Khuddam volunteers.
Cambridge Ward 7 Councillor Scott Hamilton was among those who visited the booth. Many visitors asked to learn more about Islam and accepted complimentary literature and flyers, while others purchased copies of the Holy Qur’an. Several contacts were recorded for follow-up.
We are grateful to the local Jama’at leadership and to the volunteers from the Cambridge and Kitchener Jama’ats who gave their time to setting up, staffing and dismantling the booths.
The festival allowed the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at to share the peaceful message of Islam Ahmadiyyat with a broad cross-section of the Cambridge community.
