1. Mission
The National Waqf-e-Nau Department protects and cultivates the sacred trust of Waqf-e-Nau. The department ensures that children devoted for Waqf are raised under the guidance of Khilafat with proper tarbiyat, education, and training so they can serve the Jama’at according to the needs and directions determined by Markaz.
2. Day-to-Day Reality
The department’s work focuses on implementing instructions received from Markaz and ensuring consistent application at all levels of the Jama’at. Regular responsibilities include coordinating with local and regional secretaries, monitoring Waqf-e-Nau classes, organizing Markaz-approved seminars, overseeing assessments, and addressing matters related to parents and Waqf-e-Nau members.
The department also processes applications and approval letters from Markaz for parents who have written directly to Huzoor requesting enrollment of their children in the Waqf-e-Nau scheme. Applications are processed promptly, records are updated, and official certificates are prepared and sent to parents. The department manages distribution of monthly Waqf-e-Nau magazines to subscribed members across Canada. These responsibilities ensure administrative accuracy and ongoing engagement with Waqf-e-Nau families.
3. Collaboration
The department works closely with auxiliary organizations and Jama’at office bearers to implement Markaz-issued guidance effectively. Within Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, designated Waqf-e-Nau coordinators help engage male Waqf-e-Nau members, support educational initiatives, and facilitate communication at local and regional levels.
Within Lajna Imaillah, Waqifaat-e-Nau coordinators maintain regular contact with mothers and Waqifaat-e-Nau across Canada. Their involvement is particularly vital in matters of tarbiyat, guidance, and helping parents understand Waqf-e-Nau responsibilities. Missionaries, under the supervision of the Missionary-in-Charge, remain central to teaching the syllabus and overseeing proper implementation. This coordinated framework ensures harmony and consistency across Jama’at structures.
4. Current Focus
The department’s current priority is to strengthen the uniform implementation of Markaz-issued guidance across the country. While clear instructions exist for approved seminars, assessments, and structured classes, practical execution varies among Jama’ats. The department is revitalizing inactive programs, increasing parental awareness of responsibilities, and reinforcing accountability among local office bearers. National initiatives such as Waqf-e-Nau Ijtema’at and parents’ sessions are being used to reinforce the objectives and seriousness of the Waqf-e-Nau scheme.
5. Call to Action
Members should support Waqf-e-Nau by fulfilling their individual responsibilities with sincerity and consistency. Parents should remain actively engaged in the tarbiyat and education of their Waqf-e-Nau children. Local office bearers should ensure that Markaz-approved programs are implemented regularly and correctly. When families, office bearers, and missionaries work together in obedience to Khilafat, the true objectives of Waqf-e-Nau can be realized.
