Q: In the age of so much information available from multiple sources, why establish a new newsletter
A: It is true that we are drowning in information coming to us from many news sources. If we add social media to this mix, then information feeds are relentless and consuming all available time.
We are blessed that Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah be his Helper!) has graciously approved this online publication. The AhmadiyyaJournal.ca is one place that will publish what matters to Canadian members of the Jamaat. Information about activities in Canada by the Jamaat based on guidance from Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah be his Helper!)
Its content will focus on topics that are relevant to an Ahmadi Muslims living in Canada.
Q: What are your expectations for this publication to achieve
A: This publication will aim to bring members closer to the Jamaat by sharing information about other members and their activities from across Canada.
It will provide a forum for members to write on topics that matter to them.
Q: How should office holders interact with this publication
A: Canada is a vast country. By the grace of Allah, membership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat is growing in all regions of Canada. This has increased our activities in over 100 branches.
As a cohesive Jamaat, the office holders can share news and reports about events held in their local Jamaats. Reports of initiates under taken by one Jamaat becomes a source of motivation and guidance other Jamaats across Canada. Good reporting also builds the history of the Jamaat for future generations to see how members lived and served Jamaat over the decades.
Q: What are your expectations from the members
A: The publication is available on your mobile that is carried by most members. I expect that Ahmadi members of Canada Jamaat will routinely engage by reading material published, provide feedback on matters important to them and contribute articles & new reports to AhmadiyyaJournal.ca.
