Celebrate prayers – Ashra Salat

by April 2, 2026

By the grace of Allah, the Tarbiyat Department of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada is organizing Ashra Salat from April 3 to April 12, 2026, across all Jama’ats nationwide.

Following the blessed month of Ramadan, this Ashra serves as an important opportunity for members to continue and strengthen the spiritual habits cultivated during Ramadan, particularly regularity in offering the five daily prayers and maintaining a strong connection with the mosque and Nizam-e-Jama’at.

The Holy Qur’an reminds us:

“Watch over Prayers, and the middle Prayer, and stand before Allah submissively.”

Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:240

All members are encouraged to make special efforts to:

  • Offer the five daily prayers regularly, with increased focus on congregational prayers.
  • Attend Fajr and Isha prayers at mosques or local Namaz centres.
  • Continue the spiritual routines established during Ramadan, including Tilawat-ul-Qur’an, prayers, and the remembrance of Allah.

During this Ashra, missionaries and local office bearers will actively reach out to members, particularly those who participated in Ramadan activities but may not have been able to maintain that connection afterward. Efforts will include personal contact and house visits to provide encouragement, guidance, and support in sustaining these positive habits.

The Holy Prophet (sa) taught that the reward of congregational prayer is twenty-seven times greater than that of prayer offered alone.

Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 10, Hadith 42 – https://sunnah.com/bukhari:645

Let us all strive to make this Ashra a means of lasting spiritual progress, ensuring that the blessings of Ramadan continue to be reflected in our daily lives.

May Allah enable us all to remain steadfast in our prayers and strengthen our bond with Him and with Khilafat. Ameen.
