I had the distinct honour of attending the 48th Jalsa Salana of The Gambia, held from the 8th to the 10th of April 2026 at Nusrat Senior Secondary School, Bundung. By my estimation, this blessed gathering drew close to 3,000 participants.
The occasion was further dignified by the presence of national ministers and other government officials, alongside representatives from diverse lands. All attendees were accommodated on the school compound, where the secure enclosure provided comfort and tranquillity, especially for families with children.

The atmosphere bore a striking resemblance to Jalsas held across the world, a living testament to the bond of Khilafat. Under its blessed guidance, the Jama’at, regardless of geography, reflects a shared spirit, discipline, and moral refinement. Each day commenced with the Tahajjud prayer, showing the remarkable zeal and devotion of young and old alike.
The spiritual ambience of the Jalsa defies expression. The people of The Gambia revealed themselves to be exceptionally warm, gracious, and generous hosts, attending to the needs of their guests with sincerity and devotion.

I humbly pray that the blessings of this Jalsa may continue to unfold throughout the year, enriching the lives of all participants, the entire Jamaat of The Gambia, the people of this blessed land, and indeed the whole world. Amen.
