REFLECTION
“You remember Allah; He will remember you; call Him and He will make a response to your call. And verily divine remembrance is the highest virtue.” (Source: Alislam)
Do you recognize these blessed words?
They form the closing part recited in the Second Sermon (Khutba Thania), delivered by Huzoor (aa) or any Imam after the main Friday Sermon and just before the commencement of the Jumu‘ah prayer.
These concluding words are a beautiful spiritual prelude to the congregational prayer. If one reflects upon its meaning and allows it to settle in the heart, it breathes new life into the soul and deepens one’s humility, focus and devotion during the Jumu’ah prayer that follows.
In fact, the entire Second Sermon is filled with wisdom, guidance and profound reminders. It is not merely a formality, but a treasure of supplications and divine instruction.
At the next Jumu‘ah, listen to these words with an attentive heart and mind.
May Allah enable us to truly remember Him, so that we may be counted among those whom He remembers.
