Sahibzadi Amatul Jamil Begum Sahiba, the daughter of Hazrat Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad, Hazrat Musleh-e-Maud(ra), passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 3:00 a.m. EST in Toronto, Canada. She was the granddaughter of the Promised Messiah (as) and the maternal aunt of the current head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V (aba), our beloved Imam.
Sahibzadi Amatul Jamil Begum Sahiba, often referred to lovingly as Bibi Jamil Sahiba, had been based in the Greater Toronto Area in recent years, where she became a deeply respected and beloved figure in the Canadian Ahmadiyya community. Her presence at national gatherings carried a profound sense of spiritual continuity, linking the community in Canada to the family of the Promised Messiah (as) and the early history of Jama’at.
Over the past decade, Sahibzadi Amatul Jamil Begum Sahiba served as a guest of honour and presiding figure at numerous major events organized by Lajna Ima’illah Canada and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada.
May Allah the Almighty grant her a lofty station in Paradise, shower His mercy upon her, and grant patience and steadfastness to her family and all those who mourn her loss. Ameen.
