Eid al-Fitr prayers were offered with great joy and gratitude across Canada on Friday, March 20, 2026, as members of the Jama’at came together to mark the completion of the blessed month of Ramadan. From the shores of Newfoundland to the valleys of British Columbia, Jama’ats large and small gathered in mosques, prayer centres, and rented halls to celebrate this special occasion. Despite challenging weather conditions in many parts of the country, the spirit of the community remained warm and vibrant, with thousands joining in prayer, fellowship, and expressions of thankfulness to Allah the Almighty. Here is a glimpse of how Eid was celebrated in communities across the nation.


Newfoundland Members of the Jama’at in Newfoundland gathered at Bait-ul-Ehsan Mosque in St. John’s to celebrate Eid ul Fitr. The Eid prayer was held at 11:00 AM, followed by a communal lunch where members enjoyed fellowship and warm wishes. Friday prayer followed at 1:30 PM, rounding out a full and blessed day of worship. A total of 53 members were in attendance, a heartening turnout for the easternmost Jama’at in Canada.


Halifax Members of the Halifax Jama’at gathered at the local prayer centre to offer Eid ul Fitr prayers. Around 35 members were in attendance, coming together in a spirit of gratitude and celebration to mark the conclusion of Ramadan.


Moncton and Prince Edward Island Eid ul Fitr prayers for the Moncton and Prince Edward Island Jama’ats were held at Bait-ul-Hayee in Dieppe, New Brunswick. Approximately 80 members were in attendance, including those who travelled from Prince Edward Island to join their fellow members at the new regional mosque. The gathering was a welcome milestone for the growing Atlantic Canada community.



Peace Village At Markaz (Peace Village), the national headquarters of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada, Eid ul Fitr prayers were held at Bait-ul-Islam Mosque. Several thousand members were in attendance, making it one of the largest Eid gatherings in the country. The expansive mosque and surrounding grounds were alive with the sounds of greetings, laughter, and prayers as families celebrated the joyous occasion together.

Brampton Mubarak Mosque in Brampton was filled to capacity as members came together in large numbers to offer Eid al-Fitr prayers. The joyful atmosphere was matched by the dedication of Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya, who were on duty throughout the event, assisting with parking and managing facilities despite freezing rain that blanketed the area. Their cheerful service in difficult weather conditions was a reminder of the spirit of sacrifice that defines the community.



Milton and Georgetown Members across the Halton region gathered at the St. Volodymyr Centre in Oakville to offer Eid ul Fitr prayers, with approximately 1,100 in attendance from the Milton and Georgetown Jama’ats. Despite particularly muddy conditions caused by the weather, the event ran smoothly thanks to the dedicated service of Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya, who demonstrated selfless sacrifice. From managing parking on waterlogged grounds to assisting families navigating difficult conditions, the Khuddam ensured that every member could focus on the day’s joy and worship. The impressive turnout reflected the continued growth and vitality of the community in this region of Ontario.


Calgary Thousands of members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at gathered at Baitun-Nur Mosque in northeast Calgary to offer Eid al-Fitr prayers, marking the completion of the blessed month of Ramadan. Despite foggy weather and light rain, members arrived in large numbers, reflecting the significance of this joyous occasion. Special prayers were offered for world peace and the unity of the Muslim Ummah, in line with the recent guidance of Hazrat Amirul Momineen (aa). The gathering also drew the attention of local media, with coverage from the Calgary Herald and CBC Calgary highlighting the spirit of Eid at Baitun-Nur Mosque.

Abbotsford and Chilliwack The Jama’ats of Abbotsford and Chilliwack came together to offer Eid al-Fitr prayers at Langley Banquet Hall in Aldergrove, British Columbia. Close to 170 members gathered for the occasion, filling the hall with prayers, greetings, and the warmth of community. The joint celebration reflected the strong bond between the two neighbouring Jama’ats.


Vancouver (Delta) Members of the Vancouver region gathered at Baitur Rahman Mosque in Delta to offer Eid al-Fitr prayers at 10:00 AM. The Eid sermon reflected on the revelations from Allah to the Promised Messiah (as) regarding the ultimate success of Ahmadiyyat Islam. Members were reminded of their responsibilities towards prayers and tabligh. Members greeted one another warmly and enjoyed refreshments following the prayers. Approximately 800 members were in attendance.
