By the grace of Allah, a highly successful and blessed Waqar-e-Amal was held at the Baitul Islam Mosque premises on May 31st. The primary focus of this initiative was the beautification and flowering of the Mosque grounds, transforming the landscape to reflect the spiritual beauty of the House of Allah.
Commencing with Blessings
Volunteers began arriving on-site as early as 9:00 AM, eager to dedicate their time and effort. The event formally commenced at 9:30 AM with silent prayer (Dua).
The presence of central leadership provided immense encouragement. Alongside the National Secretary Jaidad, the National Secretary Zara’at was also present to oversee and guide the plantation efforts. The dedicated Jaidad team remained on-site throughout the day, excellently facilitating the logistics and ensuring a smooth workflow for all participants.
Outstanding Voluntarism and Output
A wave of enthusiasm was witnessed as almost 60 volunteers gathered for the cause. The participants primarily came from the Vaughan and Peace Village Jama’ats, showcasing strong local solidarity. Among the workforce were also 7 volunteers from Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada, who contributed with great zeal.
Despite the challenging, rainy weather and less-than-ideal working conditions, the spirit of the volunteers remained completely undeterred. They worked diligently through the rain, displaying exemplary devotion. By the end of the day, an incredible total of almost 3,000 plants were successfully planted across the mosque grounds.
A Full Day of Devotion
The collective work continued steadily until the Zuhr prayer at 2:00 PM. Heavy machinery was also utilized to help transport soil and clear areas efficiently to maximize productivity. Recognizing that more work was needed to fully finish the task, an additional 20 volunteers selflessly extended their stay until Asr prayer (6:00 PM) to complete the final phases of the landscaping, soil clearing, and waste collection.
During the event, a team from MTA International (Muslim Television Ahmadiyya) was present on the ground, capturing footage of the historic beautification drive and conducting interviews with the passionate volunteers.
Gratitude to Departments
An event of this scale relies heavily on hospitality and coordination. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the Ziafat Department of Vaughan Imarat for providing timely and much-needed refreshments, which kept the spirits and energy of the workers high throughout the rainy day.
Special gratitude is also due to the Secretary Jaidad Vaughan and Peace village Imarat also Secretary Zara’at Peace Village and Secretary Zara’at Vaughan for their exceptional efforts in organizing, helping out, and mobilizing the local volunteers to turn out in such large numbers.
Visit by Respected National Amir Sahib
The highlight and spiritual climax of the day occurred after the Asr prayer, when Respected National Amir Sahib graciously visited the site.
Amir Sahib personally inspected the plantation work, profoundly appreciated the immense efforts of the volunteers under the rainy conditions, and motivated everyone to keep up the excellent standards of service to the Jama’at. His precious, encouraging, and inspiring words served as a powerful source of motivation and a beautiful conclusion to a day of hard work.
May Allah the Almighty abundantly reward all the organizers, teams, and volunteers who sacrificed their time to beautify the House of Allah. Ameen.
