On Sunday, 24 May 2026, AMJ Windsor had the honour of welcoming Mohtaram Lal Khan Malik Sahib, National Amir AMJ Canada, to the Windsor chapter. He was accompanied by Mohtaram Asif Mehmood Sheikh Sahib, Regional Amir Western Ontario, and Mohtaram Murabbi Aatir Khan Sahib.
Also present from the Windsor AMJ community were Mohtaram Murabbi Iftikhar Ahmad Naveed Sahib, Baitul Ehsan; Mohtaram Tariq Haider Sahib, Sadr AMJ Windsor; Mohtaram Dr. Aleem Khan Sahib, Secretary Sanat-o-Tijarat, AMJ Baitul Ehsan; and Khaksar Abdul Hai Tahir, Secretary Jaidad, AMJ Baitul Ehsan.

As part of the visit, the group attended the conservation area connected to a community service initiative completed by AMJ Windsor in 2017. In October 2017, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Windsor partnered with the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) and the Little River Enhancement Group to plant 150 native trees in Bush Park along the Ganatchio Trail in east Windsor. The initiative was organised to mark Canada’s 150th anniversary and Windsor’s 125th, reflecting the community’s wish to contribute to the city and its environment. Around 40 volunteers took part, with ERCA providing equipment and resources, and AMJ Windsor members contributing their time and labour to plant the trees.

14 October 2017: AMJ Windsor volunteers joined ERCA in planting 150 trees, marking Canada’s 150th and Windsor’s 125th anniversaries.
During Sunday’s visit, Amir Sahib and the attending members had the opportunity to return to the same site and see the growth of the trees planted nearly nine years ago. The trees now stand established and thriving, a quiet reminder of how a single day of service can continue to benefit the wider community for years to come.
The 2017 tree planting remains a proud example of AMJ Windsor’s commitment to the Islamic principle of service to humanity and to the motto, “Love for All, Hatred for None.” Sunday’s visit with Amir Sahib strengthened the chapter’s connection to this legacy and encouraged members to continue contributing to the betterment of Windsor and the surrounding community.
