by May 29, 2026

On April 11, 2026, Lajna Ima’illah Canada held its annual mid-year refresher course for local and regional presidents, bringing together office bearers from across the country for a day of training, departmental updates, and spiritual development.

The event was attended by 79 local presidents from the GTA, 36 local presidents from outside the GTA, 19 regional presidents and 26 members of the National Majlis Amila.

The program commenced with Tilawat from the Holy Qur’an and the Lajna pledge, followed by a review of recent circulars and guidance of Sayyedna Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba). Guidance was shared on several important matters, including mosque and funeral etiquette, purdah guidelines for office bearers, as well as wedding protocols.

Presidents were reminded of upcoming events and departmental updates. Among the updates was a new initiative under the Khidmat-e-Khalq department, highlighting Lajna Imai’illah Canada’s collaboration with Canadian Blood Services. Beginning this fall, Lajna members across Canada will have the opportunity to participate in regional blood drives, enabling them to serve their local communities while contributing to humanitarian efforts nationwide.

The Waqf-e-Nau department shared reminders regarding the timely submission of the Waqf application forms, upcoming Ijtima’at, and mandatory 15+ Waqifaat classes. The Wasaya department encouraged office bearers to share short excerpts from The Will, written by the Promised Messiah (as), with members and emphasized the importance of maintaining regular contact with Musiyaan to help strengthen their spirituality and enhance their levels of faith.

The session concluded with an interactive emergency preparedness activity designed to assess awareness among office bearers, followed by a Q&A session. The refresher course ended with a silent prayer and dinner.
