Regional leadership gathers to strengthen organizational capacity through comprehensive MACMIS platform training
MONTREAL – Majlis Ansarullah Eastern Canada convened back-to-back training sessions for regional and local leadership on February 7 and 8, 2026, bringing together approximately 60 office bearers across both days. The first session took place at Bait un-Nusrat in Montreal, while the second was held at Bait un-Naseer in Ottawa. Local Nazmeen, Zuama, and Amla members attended in person, while office bearers from other Majalis (Kingston, Cornwall, Maritimes, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Moncton) joined virtually.
The training initiative reflects a broader organizational priority for 2026, which centres on equipping leadership with the technical knowledge and strategic understanding necessary to serve members effectively. Among the ambitious goals set for the year is a target of four million flyers distributed through Tabligh efforts across the region.
Platform Proficiency and Member Engagement
The sessions provided participants with a comprehensive walkthrough of the MACMIS system, covering secure login procedures, navigation of the membership dashboard, and use of the Tajneed Updates feature for correcting member information. Particular attention was given to Saiq management, through which leaders create groups, assign Saiqeen, and allocate members to ensure direct engagement at every level.
Monthly reporting protocols were emphasized, with participants learning to distinguish between locked fields pre-populated from the Saiq form and those requiring manual completion. The training also covered financial management, including budget adjustment requests and expense claim procedures requiring itemized receipts and proper signatures.
Leaders were urged to encourage all members to complete the Saiq form regularly, as the data collected helps leadership identify needs and plan targeted outreach. In Montreal, a volunteer is being sought to translate the form into French for francophone members.
Communication and Coordination
Participants received guidance on a new policy limiting official WhatsApp groups to two per Majlis, one for general announcements and one for direct Saiq-to-member communication. Regional reports are due on the 7th of each month, and budgets must be submitted to Markaz by July 15, 2026.
The sessions concluded with assignments directing office bearers to review their department sections in MACMIS, verify login credentials, and begin identifying members for year-end events. By strengthening both operational efficiency and personal connections with members, Majlis Ansarullah Eastern Canada aims to advance its mission of service throughout 2026.
